Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

any pointers would be appreciated. thanks =D
          Are you in NZ?

This is the NZ H&R importer's TradeMe listings: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Lis...&member=103818

To enable distance to empty you need a VAG-TACHO cable and the software.

Car looks sweet dude, nice mods to! Car still looks stock, but a unreleased sports model with the wheels and springs that we never got!

                      Any other plans?

I noticed you were talking about the 2 TDI boras you have over there. We don't have them here either (as far as i've heard anyways), so must have come from even more distant shores.

                        Thanks mate.

More coming in the future; R32 steering wheel, aluminium interior trims, R32 pedals, intake kit of some sort, euro boot lid - this will allow me to fit my personalised europlate 'V6 VW', as seen here temporarily on my old V5 Bora

Regarding the TDI Boras here, they are both 150hp TDI models with 6 speed manual. Apparently they are fully spec'ed UK market models, however were both registered in Australia for a period before being sent over here. One is silver, the other is black.

Here are some imported Boras for sale in NZ right now:

Japanese import Jazz Blue V6 4motion:

UK import Silver TDI sport 130hp:

that V5 looks sweet, what happened to it? and a silver bora in the back ground?! All yours? haha

Those will add some nice interior finishes! Can't a euro plate normally fit..?

Thought the TDI would be a bit more expensive then that being only 1 of 2. The 4mo is cheap too!

I traded the black V5 in on the black V6 4m. The Silver V6 4m is my Mothers.

If you check out the Jazz Blue V6 4mo on the link above you will see the narrow recess in the boot lid... that's what my current Bora has.

Some pics of my old V5:

Are the V5 Bora's any good? Or are the v6 4mo's significantly better in a number of areas?
