I thought Id better post up some pics of my van seeing Ive been a member for awhile.
Any way as always its a work in progress, the first atempt at a camper conversion was a double matteress with a cupboard on the passanger side but after realiseing this dosnt leave much space I redisigned it.
No it has a single bed/lounge down the driver side with cupboards on the passenger side.
Im still working on the back to the lounge which will be moveable to make the single bed into a double.
Between the bed and driver seat is a cupboard with a small engel fridge on top, and at the moment it runs 2 small sealed batteries in the rear corners but the will be changed for a sigle larger battery with more amp hours to run the tv and playstation
Theres a decent sound system too with an amp under the bed 6x9s in the front of the bed/cupboard and a custom sub box that also acts as a support for the bed when its lowered down.

I had to get a new battery to run my vans accessories,I got an 80ah the biggest they had without going stupid expensive.
Then I wired up mounted my tv and ps2 so now all I have to do is turn it on and relax.

Thanks mate, its been a learning curve
None of my mates are into VWs so its been a matter of reading everything I can find (not much on T4s) and trail and error.
Ive still got heaps coming but thought with my pics I may inspire others to post up then more ideas for me

Thought Id better update my progress.
Ive done the next step on my lounge/bed, the idea works great but it looks abit!
I made the base wider than the back so when its in the lounge position it would look propertional, but it dosnt... so Im going to make the bottom wider so there is more "seat" which will shorten the back piece so it looks a bit better.

          In the "lounge" postion

          In the "bed" position.

The sub box slides forward to support the end of the bed.

          Just a few interior shot.
I need some ides now for a cooker...

Just realised I didnt update my progress very well.
Id fitted some 16" audi mags, clear indicators, coloured mirrors, swivel passenger seat and a rear "A frame" type rock and roll bed with a bunk inbetween the front doors for the small one.
After alot of dramas with the gearbox in my T4 (that not even VW had the software to diagnose???)
Anyway I now have a lwb MANUAL syncro so let the fun begin again!

Ive lined the floor and colour coded the mirrors now,

And test fit of the r & r bed

This is when its as a bed so there is heaps of room when its folded up as a seat!

Lowered it......I wish! It got 10 big 4wd tyres in the back (for my other toy)

But I did paint the mirrors and add weather sheilds

This is a sick idea! I should tell my dad I'm saving for another car instead of a house, and then when he asks why, I'll tell him it's cos I'll live in it!

                        Thanks for the comments
To get engineered as a motor home (getting the rear seat/bed and swivel seat done anyway) I need to have a bed, permanant cooking facilaties and a fire extinguisher so I knocked up a quick "temperary" kitchen until I build somthing else.

Its got my 2 batteries in the bottom cupboard with extra power sockets and fuse block then the next shelf up has the microwave followed by an inverter.
I also found a small fan that should help on those hot nights!
