Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    I like it.

The wheels look smaller than 18" though.

I really like those lower front lips....look awesome.

One thing missing IMO, it needs an extended bonnet. That would just finish it right off.

        like this...

            Thanks guys
The extended bonnet look awesome, gotta add it to the wishlist. Still wondering if i should spray the FMIC black or leave it as is.

I love the badgeless grille and the wheels. Im thinking of doing the same to my car.
Try getting a set of eyebrows, they look really good without going over the top with the extended bonnet. But thats me. Here's a photoof my car with eyebrows

I've got a 2nd set of eyebrows somewhere in the garage, what did you use to stick yours on? My 1st set took flight on the 2nd day that's way i'm afraid to put this set on.

I used a fairly strong double sided tape. They have been on there for almost 2 years, the second photo is from a 2007 Day of the VW. Maybe get yourself some industrial doube sided tape. i have heard of people using that to stick private plates to bumpers. I use a high pressure hand wash ever since i got the car and they haven't moved at all.

It's because the tyres are 225/35s, not 225/40

They came off my car - with 225/40 you couldn't lower it as much without rubbing.

                            Car looks good

                              Huh? What cars?

Mk4 looks tough as, don't know if it's the badgeless grille and the exposed FMIC but this one doesn't need a boser to look tough!
