im jealous of that diesel!! i like the look of crystal headlights and fogs on the later year mk3's really does good things for the front end. sort out those wheels though, they make you car look like a skateboard - are they 14's with small tires?

HAHAHA guys give me a break it was on a slope! The wheels are from polo GTI 15", I recon they suite the car! And anyway whats wrong with being a skateboard saves my underbody from the crappy roads and it is Diesel so need to keep some 4x4 characteristics!

Running the car on Bio diesel for about 2 years with ZERO dramas. Changed Nozzels, intake manifold (from SDI diesel, long rolled runners) and custom remap. Looking to change turbo with modern VNT, dump pipe and exhaust. So far car pulls really good and still get 800+ km 100% city driving. Do one country trip get to 900, if full tank on country trip 1000km no doubt all on 2 grand rpm @ 100

                          nice ride mate..

How long you had this for.. my ideal car at the moment..
nice list of planned mods too..

make sure you fix that EGR circuit soon. You'll be amazed at the black crap lining your whole intake.

                          If you're interested I am half way through putting a 1Z into a mk1

                          it can be seen here

                          --shameless plug--
                          TDI mk1 on the road!!

Some new wheels would make it look that much better and an appropriate chip would give some more squirt if your that way inclined.

Great looking, transplant. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back?
