I like the ol school style something ive applied to the bug. i will get thin red walls and am tossing up between all black wheels or black with chrome dish:

XXX A mate of mine widened some std 13s using a set of weller 8 spokes I think it was. He took the weller centres out and welded in the VW 13inch centres.

When questioned he reckoned the wheels he made were ten times stronger as Weller and VW only joined the 2 parts of the wheels with a few stiches. He went all the way round.

been a while so just to keep u guys updated I have put the GTI flares on and currently have the duckbill to put on.

I will post some pics once i get my wheels.
