Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • DaveMack's & My GTI's (56k warning!)

Met up with Dave & took a handful of photo's on the weekend - both adhering to the 'OEM Plus' modifying style. Not so sure you can notice the extra 15mm drop on Dave's though.

Nah ... we looked and looked ... but couldn't see that 15ml anywhere. But the Eibachs certainly make the handling better than standard.

Very nice photos, both Polos are immaculate! Off-topic question: what bulbs do the foglights use on the Polo??

Please explain. (Is this a Ferarri thing? ... or speed of differing wavelengths of light?)

i've always referred the 'red cars go faster' to the difference in wavelengths of light reflecting off that colour. apparently light reflects off red faster than any other colour......meh

                  by the way....nice cars boys!!

It's something to do with the wavelengths of light factor I think it's referred to as an optical delusion

                        Very technical stuff !!!
