A few recent shots, the sunroof wind deflector is magic, no need for windows to be wound down and is as quiet as a church mouse.

They dont come with the GT on the tailgate, that is a special order, mine also came with the all siver "TDI" on it for some reason, although it is the 125kw according to the build label??


anyway, the pic isnt great but i ordered all new rear badges for mine.

Mine has the red i on the TDI badge, I like the GT one you have on now !

Excuse the dirt, i bought a couple of different ones from the UK off ebay in the end, just took a pic.

It doesn't take too long for these to gather a bit of dust of them. I notice it a lot more than on the XR6 Falcon I traded in, hatchbacks and dirt It's a lot smaller area to wash though so that's a bonus, gives you more time to enjoy driving it

yeah, i really should wash it, im hanging out for the 2 for 1 car wash voucher from the coles shopper dockets though.

i live 10m from a car wash place but the guy that runs it is a rude prick so i dont go there.

I tried to "cut a deal" with him which basically meant match what i pay at watershed and ill give it to u to do all them time but he doesn't see logic.

It is very handy to drop it off and just get them to run it into the garage when they are done though.

I would have thought with Melbourne's usual weather pattern you could have it washed for you at least once a week for FREE Just remember to close the sunroof first !!

Just pop a yellow light on the deflector and you have yourself a lovely diesel TAXI!

Seriously though, you would think VW would have some sort of 'integrated' solution.

Auto Close is a godsend.

my car lives in a carport, so it gets wet, then dust blows around, car turns red.

They work pretty well, I haven't had any real issues with water coming in when it's raining apart from the odd drop now and then. You can at least have the windows down a few inches in the rain to help with demisting.
