Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thanks to all.
It's really nice to receive such great feedback on the old car : )
VW sort of gave the VR6 a little factory 'muscle' look when they blistered the wheel arches and clipped on those familiar badges. The little BBS also help - especially when they're clean. It's nice to play to those details.
The only visual change I plan on making is a euro deep lip, up front.
My previous VR6 had the frosted OEM front indicators, which I always thought looked great, but the orange ones are kinda growing on me. Maybe I'll find a set one day.
I guess a subtle, high quality dual exit rear silencer could make it's way in at some stage, along with a slightly better than OEM centre resonator, so I can hear her a little better. No plans for changing the ride height though. It's nice having that little bit of ground clearance right now.
Photo wise (seeing as this is a photo thread), some of my work is available to see at http://www.innerstyle.com.au - not enough cars though, mind.
Cheers,
