  • My Mk2 GTI

This is my '92 model Mk2. I've had it for about 5 years and it's been looking rather shabby for ages, numerous dings and scrapes that I've had no money to fix, but I've finally had some work done. Got it back today and had to show you guys....

It's still far from perfect and there's a whole bunch of stuff that I'd love to do to it eventualy, bigger wheels, new lower suspension, more power, speakers in the front, maybe even a black respray, but at this point I'm happy that it's looking respectable again. What do you reckon?

Yep it's standard. As far as wheels go, I really like ATS Cups, I think with a set of them on it'd look so good I wouldn't even need to worry about lowering it for a while, but they're impossible to get over here and they're really expensive. Anyone got any suggestions for something kinda similar that is available over here?

Yeah you're right about the black respray, it's a very pie in the sky idea that one. I'm happy with white, but oh how I do love the look of a black GTi.

How about widening a set of stock MkIII (or equivalent) steel rims?

So 2.5 years later I finally got some bigger wheels....

I'm extremely happy to see the back of those old Enkei 14's.

Cheers to Ausgolfer, good to meet you as well.

Now to lower it a couple of inches and I'll be happy. Should only take another couple of years....

I've always like this kinda wheel on big bumperd mk 2's. Looks the biz.
