Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Cheers lads. The plan was to keep it stock for the time being, but you know how that goes....
Springs, wheels and some suspension mods first. Then I'll get a tune and fiddle with the exhaust to get a bit more noise going.

Now sporting H&R 40mm springs and a strut brace. Sits much flatter and rides very nicely.

Wheels coming very soon. Lots of options to choose from

Picked it up off eBay from a guy in Russia. Well priced and nicely made. It came painted blue and matches the car quite well.
Made a noticeable improvement when it was fitted before I put the springs in.

                    very nice.
i find a front strut brace combined with a rear sway-bar is brilliant, and effective combo.

Agreed. Rear sway bar is next on the list, looking at the 22mm Superpro one.

Just fitted my BBS RSII off the Mk5 after a quick refurb on the lips and barrels.
