Neil,
Thanks for the details.
Now a few minor gripes with the Multivan to date.
Firstly I am very pleased with how it drives. No mechanical issues noticed so far.
However some quality issues that have disappointed. I have addressed with the dealer.
1. two minor paint scratches that went unnoticed at predelivery. To be touched up by the dealer under warranty.
2. Middle sun blinds have white wax/grease in them when they are rolled up. To be cleaned with solvent by dealer (or replaced if this cleaning does not work).
3. Patchy interior plastic quality around the front door trims - blemishes. Even a few scratches on the panel where the light switch is. Left door trim panel where (electric window switch is) and light switch pastic panel to be replaced. If I wanted to be really picky, I should push for the right door trim piece (where the window switch is) also to be replaced. The anthracite interior colour appears to be slightly different shades on the same door pillar passenger side....but how far does one go to get interior items replaced under warranty...am I being too picky at the risk of being considered to much of whinger to the dealer??
4. A couple of the armrests have some minor nicks and scratches on the plastic sections. Perhaps could be sorted by the dealer with a heatgun....or just left alone.
5. Front right Bumper insert clip broken. New insert panel has arrived and has been painted to be fitted.
Whilst I acknowlege that wear and tear is going to occur, I expected a little more in a brand new car. The interior build finish should be better. Or once again am I being too picky??
What do you think?
Regards,
Scott

I have had heaps replaced and have given up on the VAG parts. It is not worth my time and bother to wait six weeks for the parts to arrive only to have them "fail" several weeks after install.
I have a passenger B pillar trim that keeps popping off, a drivers side A-pillar trim that refused to stay put until some "DIY modification" and assorted bits and bobs.
The VW dealership has been great in addressing all claims with never a dispute.
Thankfully the T5 has been such a joy to drive and mechanically reliable to date.
And no, you are not being too picky.

Multiplex Man, thanks for your feedback.
Glad I haven't got my concerns out of perspective.
To date the dealer has been fine addressing the issues for further action. But I think I will go the extra step of highlighting the couple of extra items such as right door trim and patchy B Pilla trim colour varablity.
I will keep you all posted.
Regards,
Scott
