Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Fitting seats from a 2016 T6 multivan into a 2007 T5 transporter

    Hi,

    Would the front driver and passenger seats from a 2016 T6 multivan fit into a 2007 T5 Transporter?
    I have a T5 transporter from 2007 and have been offered Captains seats from a 2016 T6 Multivan. These also have the seat swivels. Before I go ahead I just wanted to know if these would fit into my T5.

    edit: This is just for the two individual front seats.

    I can't see any reason, why the mountings would be any different, the T6 is very similar to the T5 in regards to fittings.

    The only issue, is if it is legal in NSW to fit a swivel base seat onto a model that doesn't have it.

    Might just need a Engineer to sign off on it as you are charging the seats, regardless of if it has swivel mounts on it.

    Shouldn't be that $$
