Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Wanted: spare rim for Ed 25. (255/45R18)

When one of the tyres blew out recently I discovered we didn't have a spare. Quite odd as it was bought as a demo from a dealer - but that was a few years ago now, so I have no way of working out when it wasn't on (under) the van.

Anyway, I'm now on the lookout for a spare rim and tyre. The spec is:

    8Jx18 ET47 (rim) 5x120 (bolt pattern) M14 x 1.5 (thread diameter) 65.1 (centre bore)
source: Volkswagen Multivan 2011 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com

Because of the uncommon size and limited number of Ed 25s, I don't expect much luck from wreckers. I'd appreciate any suggestions for alternatives or places to look/call.

I don't care about matching the factory rims - a steely would do in the right size. Or if anyone has a spare they are looking to offload....

    Thanks!
Working...
