Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi,

    I Don't know about in Australia.
    But as you only need two for the rear the postage from overseas I don't think is too bad.
    for around $400 delivered you can get;
    Eibach -45mm
    H&R - 20-40mm

    Both are high quality German brands.

    Jom (also German) are a bit cheaper at around $200 delivered from the UK, they lower -55mm

    Coilovers are also available to lower up to -70mm

    Then its just a case of winding down the front adjusters on the torsion bars to suit. (up to -60 I think)

    Let me know if you want details as I'm thinking about buying a T4 Caravelle in the next week or so, if bought I will be buying the Jom ones.

      Thanks for the info. much appreciated. Think i'll try the Jom. No serious weight issues. Just a home made r&r bed and a cupboard. 55mm sounds ideal.
      I'll post a pic once I'm done

          Hi

          Below is the link for the Jom springs from Veedubmachine.

          I have used them a lot in the past when I had my Golf.
