just to start with take the 2 screws out of the coolant tank and move to one side.. below there you will see a turbo pipe with the pressure sensor fitted into it... check the connector plug especially the end wire..the brown one... ive had to repair about 5 of these due to being broken off right at the connector housing...VDUB...

will do that, should have given a bit more info, as soon as I start of the glow plug light will come on and no turbo, however after driving for approx 1 hour, have turned car off for fuel and when restarted no glow plug and car goes very well indeed, then maybe 2 hours later the fault reoccurs and will not clear it always seems associated with backing off the throttle not accelerating.

      regards

check the wire first mate and then we will go further into it... make sure you give the wire a little tug as ive seen a couple just held on by a strand or 2 inside the plug... VDUB..

I have had a quick look, the sensor wires have electrical tape around them, but I got no further as had to go some where.I had this problem once before and the ultra tune bods must have had a look here as well. Will have to wait until weekend. thanks so much for these responses

broken wire, red with green stripe, going into no. 4 slot.
this is a tiny wire what is the best way to fix it, (looks like it was repaired last time)

                regards

thats the one! slot 4! depending on the amount of wire from the plug you may be able to join with a crimp heat shrink connector or vw sell the pint cimplete with about 20cms of wire attached...VDUB...

Bought the plug & 4 wires from VW cost $55, soldering Iron and solder $20, electrical tape $3.50, vag com diagnostic from UK $125, did the work day and problem so far fixed and all codes cleared.

Thanks so much for the help
