My motor seems good auto box is leaking red trans oil from all over the gearbox it goes ok but requires refilling quite abit, any ideas to check what the acual problem is? Im thinking seals ? Can i do this job ? Im scared to take it to a vw specialist as they will possibly want to charge a bomb....

vw auto gearbox rebuilder sydney
Ive read up on auto box recondtioners around sydney.
But Im wandering if it would be better to find someone that understands the vw box better or doesnt it matter being similar to all boxes? -

Could be fluid leaking from the cooler exchange on top of the gear box. In which it will require a new seal. Any auto transmission specialist or VW specialist should be able to sort this. Space is a little tight.
