No mechanical issues, just the gear indicator on the multi function display flashing intermittantly. See youtube link. Any clues? VW Transporter DSG fail. Gear indicator flashes. - YouTube

Well one suggestion might be to get your servicing done...

The van is serviced - just not had the reset applied. The local dealer is rubbish and no help - and wants to keep the vehicle for any length of time. As it's one of my company vehicles, I can't afford the time off the road. It has had the ECU flash, and no codes come up as retained fault information, and if you have watched the fault on youtoob, you will see it goes away on a reset. I'm aware of DMF issues, I've heard of DSG clutch fork problems, but I cant find any reference to 7 speed DSG problems.
I'm after specific responses if you can. Thanks

So.......The DSG has not failed (as per the title), it is just the display flashing? yeah?
Which dealer does your servicing? Don't they have loan vehicles for you to use?
I find it unusual for a dealer not to reset the service indicator. Or did you get it serviced non genuine, and they don't know how to reset the service indicator?Last edited by Guest; 10-12-2012, 04:52 PM.

Yes, some people only post to jab a bit and then they disappear for years.
He might not even had a problem with the DSG, leaving others to think that he had; (just adding the oil into the fire).Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link
