hey guys as the title asks are all the engine looms for 2.5l petrols the same ? will a 01 loom fit onto a '97 ??

BE careful with looms, ive had nightmares with them. We went through a stage with replacing them on Golf 3 as we had a string of them shorting the dimdip resistor for the headlight and it in turn took out the engine bay and lots of the interior. I was working for VW then and man the issues we had with looms was not funny. What you looking to do mate??
My guess with the Transporter is that you would be pretty safe if u use a donor 2.5.

just asking for a mate to see if he can use my spare loom in his van
it should work a 97 and 01 model are pretty much the same arent they ? i would look it up on etka but i dont have it.
