Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Pre purchase inspection

    Hi Everyone,

    Im looking at buying a 2007 Multivan Highline with 140kms and was wanting to have it inspected by a mechanic before purchase......this week hopefully. Does anyone know of a good mechanic, prefer mobile who can fully test it? Also is there any way they can test the auto?

    This is my first VW and I have never bought a car with such high kms With full service history do you think it is too many?

      When I have done a similar thing I used Google and put independent vehicle inspectors and the area the vehicle is located.

      You could try putting the same question on the other parts of the forum where people talk about Golfs and Tigs.
