2011 T5 side view mirror

Some thoughtful fellow knocked off my drivers side view mirror. I was kind of fond of that one, and I'd like another. Its snapped the plastic 'axel', so I'll need the whole assembly (i think).

I've called some wreckers, and of course they don't have anything as late as 2011. I know the vans haven't changed much, from which previous years, would a part from an older van fit?

And does anyone know where I might find one? I imagine a new part would cost a fortune.

I called VW dealer, approximate cost was $350-400. I thought that was pretty expensive.

Ebay has them much cheaper than that. Think I saw one recently for 130 bucks plus 30 bucks delivery.

If it is just the arm that is snapped, you dont need to buy the complete assembly. The main body is $270. I am surprised that the dealer gave you an approximate price when you called them. They are in the business of selling parts, they can give you an exact price.
