Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Ciao,
I was looking for a good forum about my VW....and I found you!
I live in a little village in the mountain in Italy and i have a problem to know the right rotor size for my Syncro 14" (1990) ...I bought it without rotors!
In the shop they don't know (?!?)....somebody can help me?

    Welcome to VWwA Pensiero

While I love this forum to bits you may find an answer sooner and closer to home at this site here http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/fo...ics.asp?FID=10

Its a UK based forum so if you did need to order parts it would be easier for you to obtain them from Bus crazed UK

    Good Luck

BTW please post pictures of the syncro

Thanks to your info I found what I need!
From the search results, like G60JAY says, this Vw part number :
        251 407 615 Q ...must be Q for 4WD (from www.club80-90syncro.co.uk)
I will post a picture when Syncro is completely dressed....

          Saluti

            WOW!

A bit off topic, but I've never been taught Italian, but that's easy to read and understand!

            Carry on...

              Neither have I LOL.

I've picked up a bit from my wife's family who come from the same region of Italy as Pensiero Tremendo. I thought it would be nice to welcome him to the forum in his own language even if it may be slightly mangled!

Interestingly the village they come from is nestled right up against a huge granite mountain, I wonder what would be the odds against him being from the same village? You just never know do you?

Just thought of another connection, the people we stayed with last time we were there had VeeDubs, one Passat and two Polos.

              Cheers

              George
