Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

          Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay in replying. I have been busy with a new job and have not logged on for ages or had time to work on my van.

Yes, there are two clips inside the boot that you have to line up with the appropriate holes. I seemed to be able to get the boot to stay down for reasonable periods but then it would pop up again, often after reversing! It makes things a lot noisier.

However, I persevered and think I have got the clips in securely now. I have not had the problem for weeks. And now I've fixed the squealing fan belt and replaced the starter motor, I am happy to stick with the T4 for a while and am not in such of a rush to go back to a Bay!

          Cheers,

          Baz
