Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Does anyone know what style of key I need to remove the RCD200 from my T5?

I was under the impression you needed to remove the trim and then undo the torx screws. I hope that is not factually incorrect.

      That's for the T5.2, not the T5.

You also need to pop the top tray off.

For the T5 you need to insert tool into the 4 slots around the radio.

Turns out 4 zip ties work as well. I removed the top tray so I could push it out from behind. New radio has left HK.

Great info, I'm about to order a new powered cradle and antenna coupler for my Nokia E7 and need to access the Nokia bluetooth kit hidden somewhere in the dash...thanks.
