Ditto, and my last two Transporters were also classified as cars. I did query it with Citylink, and they said they are definately classified as cars.

Hmmmm.....All my Transporters in the past have been classed as cars (except the dual cab), My current Transporter was classed as a car, but on my last statement which I received 2 days ago, they have changed it to a LCV, and they can't explain why this has happened, and won't change it back.
I am going in for round 2 with them tomorrow.

What does your Vicroads rego sticker state?

Maybe a threat to cancel and take out a CityLink account could add some persuasive powers.

One of my Transporters changed to LCV a year or two ago, as well. When I took it up with Citylink they said it was an error and refunded me the extra charges ($206). That's when they confirmed they were definately classed as cars.
Maybe they've changed things a bit? Don't know why a dual cab is classed as LCV, virtually the same vehicle.
I'm now purposely avoiding toll roads, my accs were up around $70-80 a week
The satnav I'm using now (Eclipse) doesn't allow for avoiding toll roads like my TomTom did, so it heads for there just about every time.
Apart from peak hour, which often takes longer on the toll roads, I find a trip across Melb only takes me 5 or 10 mins longer, and I get to see the sights!
