T5 Rear Bumper Protector

Hi

I’ve got a 2007 T5 Mutlivan.

I was looking for a rear bumper protector along the lines of something to protect the rear bumper when unpacking or packing luggage or when poorly packed luggage falls out when you open the tailgate.

My local dealer said the only thing available from VW was a rear bumper protector made out of clear film for $89.79!

I saw the attached photo on the very latest model T5 Multivan. This is exactly what I’m after.

The latest model rear bumper and mine look exactly the same shape.

Does anyone know if this is a VW part and if so what’s the part number and cost.

If it’s not a VW part does anyone know where such a protector can be purchased from.

@X1er - sorry only see a red cross.

There are a few different "protectors" available from the after market - carbon, plastic, and stainless steel. All are simple stick on items. Instead of the black plastic getting marked, they do... They do perform a function and can be "sacrificial".

I'd search eBay (UK, Germany and Turkey) or try one of the UK online stores.









IMHO - the last one looks the best.
I'm after one too. I'd be happy to share post from the UK - if we buy the same one!

I've sent them an email for shipping to Australia. I noted on their web site a VW UK version that is matt plastic as opposed to "carbon".
