Thought i would share this photo of the new T5.1 Sportline front end with you.

Its a shame they never brought the sportline models over to Oz.
There are some guys in the Uk doing a copy of the T5 sportline front spoiler maybe they might do the T5.1 soon.

I'm thinking about importing a load of bits like sportline fronts, grills, wheels etc from the UK. might even set up a business doing it. question is, would anyone buy them.

@ T5Pete - I reckon there are definite "holes" in the local market.

Pop tops for SWB vans, prefab camper cabinet kits, side bars, Captains seats or even arm rest kits,... I am sure there are locals who'd like to go the same way as many in the UK with "Sportline" conversions.

I have been looking at getting a roof brought over for myself.
Would also like a load of other stuff for my Multi.
If only I had known how short the list is for bits is here I could of filled a couple of container when i came over.
I can get as many SWB roofs as you need and in the colour you want!
I need to know the ins and outs of the import rules(have looked but could not make out the truth)
If people are interested then I could be interested in doing or helping sort stuff out.
Only problem would be logistics shipping round OZ?

I can get Roofs,Sportline front ends T5 and T5.1,Side bars,Seats you get the idea..

So in short are people interested in a group buy of stuff from the UK?

@ T5Pete & rob4981 - I'd be in for a SWB pop top IF there was someone local who would install it. I will ask some of the Sydney shops that do LWB tops to check how much they would charge to fit only...

As to freight inside Australia, I personally would rather take a drive and get the top fitted in the city it lands in - either Sydney or Adelaide, rather than get it shipped further.

Any recommendations on which pop tops could take a a kayak loaded on top - whilst closed only?

BTW - I saw my first SWB T5 (Kombi Beach no less!) with a pop top in Perth. There is now one shop in Australia doing the conversion!
