yes I have searched this website, no doubt the information is here but I wasn't finding it.

I have read the section in the manual that tells you how to change the bulb many times looking for anywhere that tells me WHAT FRICKEN BULB?!?!!?!?

I am ordering a HID kit, even already paid but the shop doesn;'t know what bulb...

2009 VW Transporter 2.5L 5Cyl TDi. One bulb for high and low beam... the manual gives warning about H7 high intensity bulbs being dangerous but doesn;t ACTUALLY say that they are the correct size bulbs....

If anyone can shed some light (boom tish) i would be greatful

Replaced one rhs headlight globe and lhs park lamp globe just before Christmas and the local VW specialist gave me a Philips H4 unit for my T5 MY07 June'07 build...and you're so right about the manual, couldn't find a spec reference anywhere....must remember to actually sit down one day and read it seeing as I've had it for over 3.5 years, lol.

It's an H4 with the hi / lo beams in the one bulb.

if it's a H4, why do they reference H7's in the warning??? but in the warning it doesn't say that H7's are definately in it or not....

They're made for global market, not just for us. Basically, if your headlight has only one globe for low and hi beam, it's H4. The H7 globe has 2 pins and it would be for low beam. It's quite easy to remove the globe from the headlight.
