  • Double DIN head unit

Has anyone tried to fit a double DIN head unit into the dash of a T4?
I have read on some overseas forums about there not being room behind the pocket under the factory radio, but some difference between left and right hand drive models.
Does anyone know if this will work with the Aussie models?
    Cheers,
    Jim

dont think it would be an easy job...im pretty sure these a metal bar supporting the dash or something behind the pocket...you'd need to do some cutting to fit a double din. although please do let me know if you're successful in fitting one in as i'd like to do the same!

      Yeh that's what I thought.
I don't really want to go hacking into the steel work, but I would like to put an all you can eat style of unit in. I have found a single DIN unit that has the screen hanging downward. That would cover the pocket OK.
Maybe that is the simple solution.
      Cheers,
      Jim

Dutch solution with a LHD T4

        Google Translate

Found this while looking for something else. Looks neat but the translation mangles the instructions a bit. Hope it helps

Nice one would be my last resort, but doing it that you can keep the head unit cool in summer with the vents behing it,
