  • 4 digit code for replacement stereo/satnav unit?

I had a phone car kit installed today linked to the stereo. All went well, almost.

Needed to enter the 4 digit code for the stereo/sat nav unit after reinstalling the unit.

No worries I’ll enter the 4 digit code as I have held on to the Unit Card, but it was the incorrect number, unit now locked!

I bought the vehicle second hand. When I checked the history with the dealer the stereo/satnav unit had been replaced under warranty.

So I’m guessing I have the original ‘Unit Code Card’ as opposed to the one for the replacement unit.

I’ll have to take in to the local dealer to have it ‘fixed’ but will they be able to provide me with the correct Code and Vin for the unit so I can do it myself next time?

    Thanks

there going to have to get the serial number off the unit to get the code so should be able to give you both.

      Sorted by dealer

Dealer pulled out unit and the 'code' sticker was amazingly still stuck to back of the unit.

Reinstall enter the code and all good. Code sticker is now where it should be and not on the back of the unit!!
