I'm hoping someone out there can help me with this problem.
I have a 2000 model 2.5 petrol manual T4 that starts and runs fine but if I stop the engine and fire up again when hot sometimes the idle can be between 1000 and 3000 revs.
Sometimes it will settle down on it's own or if I turn it on and off a few times idle will drop back to normal. Other times it will stay high for a few k's then slowly drop.
Other times, when it's running o.k. the idle is just very slow to drop when stopping at traffic lights etc - then it's good again.
Can more than one particular dud gizmo be causing this?
Appreciate any advice.
