A few months ago I purchased a second hand 2007 T5 Multivan, but with the 6 speed manual with low kms (22,000km)

Does the manual gearbox suffer this issue?

How often do owners of manuals consider changing their transmission fluid and is it easier than the method for the auto as described in this thread?

    Thanks

Manual transmissions are OK. Main concern with changing the fluid in manual box is to use right fluid otherwise gear changes will be notchy especially in cold weather. I change my gear oil every 20,000km but that's me. Replacing oil every 40,000km should be sufficient. I use Penrite Manual Gear Oil70.
