Haha at least you were attended to Cousin, it's more offensive when you walk into a dealership and stand around like a snowman waiting....

Guys, if any of you are interested in this $49,990 deal don't wait around, stock is pretty limited and all my orders at the factory are delayed because there are already too many builds allocated for Australia. June was Multivan's biggest sales month ever so most of the stock in the country is sold and a lot of what I can see coming through is too.

I have a Salsa Red, an Olympic Blue and a Deep Black 103 available for delivery from August onwards if you're interested PM. At this point I'd say they'll be my only 3 that will qualify for the driveaway deal.

Spot on, the 132 is awesome if you can get one, but the best perspective is a Toyota Hilux, which has a pretty nice diesel engine puts out 343Nm. The 103 puts out 340Nm. Not exactly underdone...

    Cheers.

Do you have info on when MY11 build commences? I've been meaning to visit Tony since your move but haven't been north with enough time to visit the new showroom.

Has started, my first MY11 Multis are waiting for boats in Bremerhaven as we speak (type?) It doesn't look like there will be any difference spec wise to the 2010s at the moment.

I bought my Beach from Barloworld Five Dock. I was after a demo Beach advertised at their Mascot branch but they could not be bothered driving it across. They sold me a new one at the same price. That was 3 years ago and staff have since changed.

I purchased a Mk5 Golf from Southern and the service was professional.

Generally I have found better deals interstate. I have purchased several VW from Vic at massive discount compared to NSW - even factoring air fare, drive back, blue slip, time off work...

My wife and I went out to Liverpool (driving past on the way to Sutherland) and stopped in at Sutherland today and Liverpool had no Multivans. Sutherland we'd called before hand and they had one, 132kW Highline 4-Motion. We didn't test drive because it's not what we wanted but the dealer was more than happy to show us the van and let us play with everything and answer or admit to now knowing the answer. Overall it was a good experience.
We went out to Sutherland so we could check out the Toffee Brown colour. We've come to the conclusion we wouldn't want the Toffee Brown in a few years from now. We're now pouring over the catalogue and looking at the natural grey or silver.
Once we get that sorted I'll start calling around for a great deal on the van. Interstate sounds like a good idea but with this drive away deal I can't image there'd be too many dealers negotiating on price atm.

I picked up a Natural Grey 103kW from Autohaus in Thornleigh. They had one on the floor ready to go. Very happy with it and got it with the driveaway deal. Price was firm as there arent alot around at the moment, not till August when the boat comes in.

I rang every dealer on the east coast and some in Adelaide...they are hard to come by for a car that has a driveaway deal on it!!
                Good luck

Just to add my experience to date......spent the last month or so on the look out and found it hard to get traction with dealers or find a 103 Multivan to drive. Eventually managed to drive one at Bill Buckle in Brookvale. They said they are holding onto it as long as they can as they are getting huge interest in people wanting to test drive. Now decided it's definitely the car for us but we need the power doors option so need to order one and wait. Just doing the rounds re pricing and will then get the order in. Our 4th child may come before the car does! We'll just have to make do for a few weeks with us all squeezing into the current taxi!

I can recommend Wes Bond at Trivett Volkswagen at Blacktown. He'll look after you price wise and give you fantastic service. Worth giving him a call.

Shame that this on-roads deal only covers the lowline model. Pretty keen on some sharp pricing on a highline, decision time is getting closer if we want a delivery before Christmas!

I agree Philip, it looks fantastic - however as we are paying near on 100K for a car once it is optioned and delivered, it would be nice to see VW support those interested in getting the best they had to offer.

You have any highline in stock?
