T4 TDI Squeak on startup and shut down

Any ideas on what causes a high pitch squeak as the engine is starting and stopping? These are the only times it happens. To me it does not seem typical for a slipping drive belt and the belt appears tight enough. Has anyone had this problem before and found a fix?

Thanks Jets, I had seen this but it didnt quite fit what is going on here. There is no rumble or rattle just the chirp on start up and shut down.

Also, I think you can help here: The temp gauge has become intermittant. Did you mention you had this problem recently and have a "guaranteed" fix....

Ahhhhh.....pox. That weird rumble on idle that improves with revs sounds awful familiar.....my ACV has a disconcerting note emanating from the front down low to it at idle when warm.

As for the squeak....mine often does an electrical kind of squeak on startup in cold weather....I've always assumed it is associated with priming up the fuel system.
