Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

If your van is over 5 metres long it's a LWB. Visually there will be over 30cm of body between the rear wheel arch and sliding door if it's a LWB. I think in the T4 Caravelle series all were SWB.

Mine must be a swb then as there is only a few cm after the sliding door.
I will post some pics after I fit my new wheels and lower it, could be by next weekend

        Thanks

            Hi Rob.
Got my girls this weekend so no work on the van
Yes, got the wheels and found that the original VW factory fitted alloys are a 46 offset, All the UK sites recommend 35 to a max 45 offset??

The Golf rims are 51 and I have tried them and they dont rub anywhere.
I pick up the lowered springs this Tuesday so next weekend I will fit it all and might pop round to show you
