Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

New bonnet, grille, lights and bumper....guards look like they stay the same!

Bet you couldn't do that here for that price (~AU$3,000) either....they're all considered 'crash parts' and are priced accordingly.

Well, if the spelling in the ad is any indication of the quality of the care and workmanship there, I wouldn't be too confident of handing my van over.

I find that kind of thing thoroughly off-putting too - and snapshots in cluttered workshops.

You don't have to have brilliant at smelling to work on motors, you just need to know how many zero's to put on the bill !!!

Grill looks good but the rest isn't quite right. I dont understand why you would want to go to all that bother, the T5 looks good, save the cash and put it towards the 5.1 (or 6) if you're not happy with its face . .
