Another proud T5 owner wanting to change time to 12hr format

Hi there,

Just picked up my new T5 recently. However, I have no idea how to change the clock to 12hr time instead of 24hr. I've looked in the owners manual and I can't find anything other than hr and minute adjustments.

How would i go about doing so?

When (if ?) you find a way, please post the solution on here. I much prefer a 12 hour clock too, it's been 20 odd years since I worked shift work and needed to count time according to a 24hr clock.

It seems that if you change the country from Australia to Canada using vag-com (or VCDS) then the time is displayed in 12hr mode.

Of course it is also possible that you might get some other changes that you don't want as well. Still, if advice is free you have to take it as it comes

It is called VCDS now, and you don't need to buy one. It is for reading fault codes and diagnosing VAG cars.
Manufacturer is Ross-tech.
