Hey Deeceer. Made the platform and tested out down at Wombeyan Caves. Too easy! Now all I need is more weekends away.

Gee, I feel quite chuffed that my design works for someone else. Shucks! Looks like your better half finds it as comfortable as mine! I hear you about finding more weekends away - we're looking at Easter as our next one but I could do more.
First time out with the bed platform we found our pillows were slipping down between the platform and the back door during the night (our T4 has the liftgate but same thing if there's a gap). A mod I made straight away was a headboard and next time the platform's in the van I'll take some pics to show it. It adds about 2 minutes to the set-up.
How are you attaching that curtain separating the front seats area? Is it velcro?

They sure do, Rob. Love the signage on the side of the van: 'Greater Manchester Casualty Reduction Partnership'. Good to see Orwellian doublespeak is thriving in my old home town!

We had our second weekend away. A small place down the South Coast, past Moruya, called 'Congo'. Right on the beach.
I made my platform to be only a couple of mm away from the doors. No slipping pillows. Plus, with the barn doors it is a bit easier getting some of the gear out. I just have to figure out how the fridge works on the portable battery.
Next trip is Mudgee at Easter for a Bike Muster. Pushies all weekend.
