No, I think my cam belt was done previously. This was timing belt and tensioner, water pump and full service with plugs, fuel filter, air filter, tune and brake inspection.

Oops !!! Sorry. How embarrassing lol. I know there was something else replaced earlier that they normally do at that service but I dont remember the name - I thought it was another belt of some type.

In most cases that’s truth but there are some engines that have actually both. The cam belt running camshafts and the timing belt connecting camshaft with the crankshaft.
Just to make Melissa feel beter. Even though she has one timing belt only.

I don't quite understand what you are saying here but when I read the original post I automatically thought it was the 2.5TDI. The comment later that the plugs had been replaced indicated that I had got it wrong.
When thinking T4 5cyl engines I generally refer to the belt from the crankshaft driving the camshaft as the cam belt. The belt at the rear of the camshaft driving the fuel pump I normally call the timing belt.
To add to my confusion I didn't know why the cam belt would be changed twice after a short period. On the TDI the belts can be changed independently of each other reinforcing my original assumption that it was a TDI engine.
Nothing to be embarrassed Melissa, people often call the same item a different name.eg the serpentine belt is often called a multirib belt or accessory drive belt.

Yeah Jets, you've got it right and it is a correct term - on diesel engines cam belt running fuel pump is called timing belt.
On the spark ignition engines if there is a second belt running camshafts, it is called (at least I believe) a cam belt. How ever I can see it very often in the spare parts catalog called a balance shaft belt, which is a wrong term for it. But every body understands what they mean and probably no one told them about a mistake they've made. (Don’t confuse it with the balance shaft belt where the engine has a balance shaft).
Yeah, I new that Melissa was talking about 2.5 petrol engine.
