As many of you already know..

I have been burning your ears about coming to live in Adelaide.

Well today at 620am UK time my agent rang and said...

    "Your visa is ready"

So i have to get there before December 24th.

We will be having a container to bring our camper bits and a couple of house bits(wife thinks its the other way round).

    Right here goes..

Does anyone want anything bringing from the UK to Adelaide?

The container will be leaving about November...ish

We can sort things out as we go.

    Rob and the family.

Congratulations mate. Don't leave it til the last minute. Lots of stuff shuts for Christmas.

If you need anything looking at/checking out please ask. I know how hard it is when you first arrive.

    All the best

Fantastic Rob, will be good to be able to put a face to the name!
The only thing I can think of is that I wanted to see about firming up the ride on the T5, but from what I can see, even people like Eiback don't do a suspension kit for the 4-Motion. Certainly nothing in Oz.
              Any thoughts?

Welcome Rob. At least we know you've got good taste in cars.

Shogun, Trakka use the Siekel springs/shocks in their 'off-road pack' campers, but I'm not sure how interested they'd be in doing after market conversions. Also, I found that set-up a bit harsh when I test drove it. I had a moderate lift fitted to the rear ('King springs') by Pedders in Ferntree Gully, at a cost of $350, and that is not harsh at all (still on original shockers). They quoted 'about $2K' for the front, which is apparently a bit more involved to fit. I might still do this later. So, with a bit of searching, you should be able to find something locally, but I'd also be interested to see what price Rob could source stuff for in the UK.

                      Hooray

I think we should have the Welcome to SA Party for Rob and Family at Grumpy's or Hahndorf somewhere ? (Rob does family like Pizza or German food ?)

How about Saturday November the 21st ? (As the weekend before and after are VW Events in Victoria and South Australia)

It was once explained to me that a great bbq is one where the food cooking time is 2 beers long, anything longer and the tribe gets restless, anything shorter and your thirst isn't quenced enough.
