I picked up a magazine, printed in NZ, called RV & Motorhome lifestyle. A VW advert inside offers reduced prices on the California. You can now buy the 128KW Tiptronic for NZ$105.000.
With an exchange rate currently at 1.24 to the Aust$ that works out at around $85,000. This is now below Trakka prices. I wonder if this is just a sale or they are having trouble selling them & this is the remaining stock.
Perhaps someone reading this from NZ would comment on the success of this model.
I like the California, although I have only seen pictures of them, & was disappointed when I heard they would not be sold in Aust.
Also in the same mag is an advert for a co in the UK called Wellhouse Leisure. They are selling kits to convert the Caddy Maxi into a camper useing the Remo elevating roof.
It says export to NZ no problem. Haven't seen the same offer to Aust. I wonder if our laws for rego. are tighter?
