  • T4 Spare Key

    Hi All,
Looking for a spare key for a 2000 T4, not a simple task really, and going from VW prices, they must be made of solid gold.
    Found this on ebay

    Transponder/chip specifics:
    SLICA:HU49T10
    Transponder key chip type
    RW.HILIPS 42
    ID H1C

The profile AH is stamped on my current key and looks identical, so thats ok, but is it the correct chip?
Can someone confirm if this is suitable, or provide an alternative solution, preferably in Sydney?
    Thanks

You will have to have the chip programmed to your immobilizer.

Sorry i can not point you in the correct direction as i am in the UK.

Over here VW charge 1 hours labour for doing this.

There are some local key people that charge about a quarter of this.

Hope you get things sorted quickly.

      Hi Bob,
Take your key into a Locksmith shop and they'll be able to cut and program a new one for you.

Whereabouts in Badgally Rd is he Brenton? I drove up and down the other day but couldnt find him. Scrap metal yard on left then paddocks and a brewery and a car yard on the intersection. Nothing on the station side either. Will have another look on monday.
          Thanks guys

going towards the station side , its in a complex of buildings on the left straight after the pub. big sign on the wall above the rollerdoors down the back. you can always just give him a call or pm him on here.

Like Brenton says, in the complex behind the pub.

The entrance has a new black gate and is opposite Macarthur Ford.
