Hi Everyone, i'm a new T5 Crewvan LWB owner. Stoked! Long time listner first time poster.

Sadly I wasn't able to option my van as i wanted it as we squeezed the purchase in prior to the end of the 08 tax year.

Could anyone tell me about aftermarket/dealer options for fitting ESP, trip computer or sliding windows for the young'ns.

    Appreciate the advice.

Sadly ESP is a factory installed item as part of the ABS, Traction control etc. I've never heard of any vehicle having it installed if built without it. Sliding windows can be bought aftermarket quite easily and they look identical to factory units. Which state are you in so maybe others can refer you? As to trip computer, I'm not sure if you can simply just insert the dash screen and module from spare parts or secondhand/wreckers. You also need the switch gear on the indicator stalks replaced to control the trip computer. Did you ask the dealer about their ability to retro-fit these items. Either way it won't be cheap if it's possible.

Thanks Tornado, i'll check with the dealership as you suggest. I'm in Vic so i'll look around for suppliers of the sliding windows.

I bought my van from Burwins and also bought some aftermarket accessories from Vehquip in Ferntree Gully. They supply and install aftermarket windows and are a supplier to Burwins as well. There's another installer in the north/west suburbs, starts with "J" and I'll post it when I can remember. Most dealers will have aftermarket suppliers.

Edit: here's the other one I thought of :http://www.jamiesonautofit.com.au/default.htm

If you live near Geelong there is a place called Pole Position. They do retro-fitting of seats and windows
