T4 Auto to Manual conversion.

Hi All
Tried a search of this subject but no hits.
Is it possible to convert to manual, a T4 automatic transporter? I am looking for a T4 and have seen a number of cheap but decent T4s with faulty auto boxes, (no reverse seems to be a common problem) but at nearly $7000 to replace the auto, no real advantage as good manual vans can be got for the same dollars. BUT, if it is possible to do a conversion for say $2500, then it may be worthwhile going down this path.
What does anyone else think?

Still looking for a manual 2.5 white swb T4 van, no windows, liftup tailgate not doors at rear, straight body and lower ks.......anyone got one?

did you ever find any info on converting auto to manual? I have a faulty t4 auto as well and am looking for options that dont cost $6000

Hi,
Ended up buying a manual van. Everyone I spoke to recommended not going down that path. By the time you source the parts and factor in the labour involved, not much saved from buying reco auto box. Second hand box was best option.
