it shouldn't lock the drivers door if the key is in the ignition. All other doors will auto lock.

I've often wondered when the second trip computer resets itself and today I think I discovered that after 99hrs 59mins it resets the distance travelled and all other functions like ave fuel use etc...

Anyone know how frequently the trip computer recalc's range etc?...I wish the distance to empty reading worked down in single units as it's often a shock to suddenly go from 30 to 10 to 0 km remaining whereas the other cars we have read down in single units.

        A/C Feature

To operate the dual zone A/C in Front Cabin in parallel, hold the Auto Button on for a bit before adjusting Temp and it will change both sides.

          Hi Tornado,

Trip computer 2 resets depending whether 99hrs 59mins or 9,999 kms is reached first.

I think the increments is mentioned in the manual - but can't remember off the top of my head.

          Regards,

          Scott

            The Bug,

Is there also a way to do this when set on ECO & A/C combination?

            Thanks,

If you do lock your keys in the car and your spare set are home then phone home and get someone to press the unlock button on the key there near the microphone whilst you hold your phone by the drivers door. Don't know if it works on Volksies but it works on Holden's, Ford's and Toyota's. Never had to use this in anger yet.

This I'm going to have to try as a "Mythbuster's" exercise.

I'll put up a vote for "busted".

If it works for some people it is probably because they were in range for the remote to work anyway (when the batteries are fresh my van's remote will work from over 200 metres away ! )

AFAIK VAG remotes work on radio waves, phone microphones and speakers only receive/transmit sound waves.

Well well, i was wondering why it kept doing that!! i thought it was happening when i reset the second trip meter or something cause i wanted to keep a whole average for total distance travelled .......... 'things keep revealing themselves' "quote BrianJ"

                        does trip One reset also??

You can reset Trip 1 and Trip 2 any time. There is a button underside of wiper/trip computer stalk. Push this for a few seconds to reset either Trip 1 or Trip 2.

Trip 1 will reset after every time you drive, but will hold trip 1 data for at least an hour or so if you stop for a break.

                          Cheers, Scott
