Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

For the Z frame it looks like the top rail is around 200mm longer than the bottom ?

I plan on using this system http://www.maytec.com.au/a/19.html

I will give you a call.

    The Bug.

I used to use Maytec to build production lines. Its very good, very strong, very bulky and from what I recall its pretty pricey.
straights, 90's and 45's are simple - anything else gets awkward when trying to use the fasteners (unless you have one of the many custom doofers they seem to have for any occasion).

We had tons of it in our store - until we skipped it one day !!! We had Maytec for its adaptability and because it was easy to use in house but we ended up going back to having sections fabricated from steel to save money - seems crazy but its true
