T5 Transporter Suspension Packages

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum and just wanted to say Hi.I also was wondering if any one knows the differences between the two available suspension packages that can be ordered with a new Transporter Van.

One is called the 1BJ Shock Absorption and Suspension upgrade kit at $390.00 and the other is a 1BB Rough Road Suspension/Shock Absorption and is priced at $790.00.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

First thing is first........I'm guessing. But it is an educated guess!!

The 1BJ is probably a load capacity upgrade and probably for the rear axle only. WRONG Here's some text I found "Not with 3,200 kg GVM. For when the majority on driving is done on gravel roads" and it is an shock absorber upgrade to front and rear.....

The 1BB is what it says it is.....which probably means different valving in the shocks (probably same shocks as in 1BJ - check part numbers with the dealer) and more progressive springs.......and that's what I'd have.
