I have seen them on ebay for less money.
Just a quick idea, that i have seen that looks very good is...
The grippy tape that the skate boarders use on the top of there boards.
Cut to size and then placed on the bumper.
Its cheap and very hard wearing.
I would imagine you could be able to get hold of the tape near you?

Rob's idea is a good one. Cheap and very workable
Stick ons like this alloy thing don't last in this country.....the dust and road crap gets underneath them and combine with the heat to destroy the double sided sticky tape in no time.
Besides for the $300 involved it may well be possible to form up your own from alloy sheet.....just make a template from card and get the pattern laser cut and formed by a aluminium fabricator. You may also be able to do the forming yourself as 1.5mm ally is easy enough to form with a soft mallet....
....but I'd go for the decking tape.

Industrial grade grip tape, been using it on my job-sites for years, best stuff and available in different colors, best thing is you can graze it, step on it, scratch it and it's still working well...
but i'm not sure how well it would come off if you ever needed it to.
Go down to your local hardware and ask for industrial grade grip tape."06" 2.0 FSI GolfV, 18's - Lights - SatnaV - ready and waiting.
