Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • T6 - flashing glow plug on instrument cluster

Hi all, any ideas on what it could mean? Manual states 'fault in engine management system' - a bit vague... OBDeleven scan states 'turbocharger underboost'.
My 30km commute home from work was as normal for the 1st 25k's, once the glow plug started flashing it was definitely underpowered.
Off to the dealers again tomorrow...

Check the vacuum pipes that run off the air intake to the turbo 'trigger' mechanism or the pipework between the turbo and the intercooler. If one of them has come adrift then your turbo won't turn on...

      Thanks for the heads-up, Seano.
Just heard back from dealership, apparently a failed intake pressure sensor. Should be back on the road tomorrow.

Can't say i'm at all surprised that the wrong part was ordered & i'm without my van until Monday at the earliest... 3 visits, 3 fails.

Over the road from my local dealer is another dealer that does Audi & Skoda, but owned by another company. Wondering if they can do warranty work?
