Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

There is a good widening of the 4motion offering in the new T6.1 range

    Finally again

CrewVan TDI340 4MOTION SWB (basically as seen in video)
    CrewVan TDI340 4MOTION LWB

    Multivan TDI340 4MOTION SWB
Multivan TDI340 4MOTION LWB (first time ever in AU)

Also in 4MOTION is California (TDI340 and TDI450) as 5 seater vehicles ex-factory

Continuing are previously available Transporter and Multivan HIGHLINE SWB in 4motion

Note pricing has been nicely adjusted so in most of not all cases 4MOTION adds just $3000 to the price.

I would highly recommend adding the Mechanical Rear Diff Lock (approx $1500) and Hill Descent Control (approx $200)

    Cheers
    Mark

I thought that too, but the 2WD price is considerably more than previous model. I reckon there would be a fair bit more negotiation room on the 2WD compared to the 4motion.
Current: MY18 TRANSPORTER CrewVan, Indium Grey
Previous: MY10 Tiguan 2.0TSI, Silver Leaf, APR StgII tune + many mod's

Note the T6.1 TDI 450 LWB 4motion. Payload goes under 1 tonne. Which means for tax depreciation you are capped at $59k. You can get the GVM upgrade by request but you lose the spare tyre.

That with the delays in delivery sent me down the T6 TDI400 4motion path.

I still don't understand why the CrewVan is limited to the TDI340?

There was motivation to achieve the TDI450 in Crewvan form but the GVM calcs just did not work out...
