Hi again guys on behalf of my mate who owns a Transporter T5.1 with DSG those 3 letters which strikes fear into the heart of many . Ok frivolity aside , he had his serviced by VW last year at the 150000 mark . They changed the fluid and did a software update as well , he told me the van didn't feel the same after the service with gear changes . Now just today the box has decided to go bye bye , an independent VW mechanic that I use told him the Mechtronics has gone to lunch . So my question has anyone had experience with either rebuilt recoed or replacement mech unit and where can they be sourced from other than VW , Thanks in advance for any suggestions . PS this this was the same one last month or so back with a leaking transmission cooler any connection maybe ?
